The Joshua Lady Owls needed extra time and then penalty kicks to determine their Class 5A area playoff match against Wichita Falls Rider. And in PKs, the Lady Owls prevailed to keep their season alive.

The two teams ended regulation tied at 2-2.

Joshua’s two regulation goals came on a Caitlyn Rohleder penalty kick to tie it at 1-1, and then Rohleder later scored on a free kick to tie it at 2-2 with 5 minutes remaining.

The Lady Owls will face Grapevine in the Class 5A sectional round of playoffs.
