The District 8-5A champion Burleson Lady Elks erupted for 36 runs in a two-game sweep of Fort Worth North Side to advance to the Class 5A area playoffs.

But the Lady Elks added six more in the fourth inning for a 21-2 lead. North Side kept the game alive for the time being with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to make it 21-7 but the Lady Elks added four runs in the fifth to close out the run-rule victory.
