Grandview's game Friday at Life Oak Cliff is canceled because of COVID-19.

GRANDVIEW — Grandview's varsity football game Friday at Dallas Life Oak Cliff has been canceled for precautionary reasons related to COVID-19.

It is the second cancellation for Grandview's varsity football team this season. The Zebras' non-district game against Glen Rose on Sept. 18 was also canceled because of COVID-19.

Friday's district game will go down as a “no contest” between the Zebras and Lions instead of a forfeit.

The No. 2-ranked Zebras are 7-0 overall this season and 4-0 in District 7-3A Division I play. Grandview has out-scored its seven opponents by a combined 363-73 this season.

Grandview's junior varsity and freshman games scheduled for tonight have also been canceled.

The canceled game vs. Glen Rose is now scheduled to be made up at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 in Glen Rose in a top-10 showdown.
