With multiple no-hitters on her 2021 résumé, Venus' Kaylee Davis added another pitching gem in the Class 4A playoffs as she tossed a perfect game to lead Venus to a 16-0 win over Dallas Wilmer-Hutchins on Friday.
Davis struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced with no hits and no walks allowed.
Venus scored 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning to run away with the bi-district championship.
The Lady Bulldogs racked up 20 base hits in the five-inning outing, as seven players had multiple-hit performances, including three-hit days from Davis, Natalie Lopez, Angel Rodriguez and Mariah Martinez.
Davis went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Rodriguez was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs, Heflin Anyssa was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs and Eva Wilson finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Venus.
The Lady Bulldogs (18-6-2) will play the winner of Midlothian Heritage and Celina in the Class 4A area playoffs next week.
