This was not a good weekend if you were a fan of Johnson County baseball and softball.
The Cleburne Lady Jackets, Cleburne Yellow Jackets, Burleson Lady Elks, Grandview Zebras and Rio Vista Eagles were all eliminated from the postseason.
The Lady Jackets, Lady Elks, Zebras and Eagles were all swept in their respective series, while the Yellow Jackets were beaten in three games.
The Lady Jackets fell to Aledo on Saturday, 4-1, while the Lady Elks lost to Midland by the count of 3-1 in Game 1 and 5-3 in Game 2.
Grandview dropped two heartbreakers to Peaster, losing by one run on Friday, 9-8, and in eight innings on Saturday, 9-7.
Rio Vista was swept by Holliday on Thursday and Friday, while the Jackets fell to Denton Ryan in Game 3 on Saturday in Saginaw, 9-3.
