A promising and impressive 2021 campaign came to an earlier-than-anticipated ending for the Cleburne Lady Jackets in a 2-0 loss to Forney in a Class 5A bi-district playoff match Friday night at Waxahachie High School.

He mastered all sorts of skills with ease. Now, though, he feels like a failure, barely keeping his head above water. It’s enough to break a parent’s heart.

Travis Taylor has taken his role of Cleburne ISD stakeholder to the next level in obtaining a $2,500 grant for Career and Technical Education through his employer’s charitable giving program.

This past week, I sat in complete silence in my office and just reveled in the nothingness that was going on around me. The building was empty, the phones were still, there was nothing but the sweetness of silence. I knew in a few minutes, the lights would automatically come on, employees and students would arrive, and my solitude would slip away. It was in those quiet moments that I reflected on the phrase, “Silence is golden.”
