2007 will go down in the record books as the wettest year on record in Cleburne with 55.94 inches of rainfall.
The previous wettest years were in 1991 (55.08 inches, 1973 (51.18 inches) and 1957 (50.95 inches). Although 2007 was the wettest year on record, December marked the third month in a row of below-average rainfall — at .85 inches below normal.
The high temperature for December was 82 degrees, which occurred Dec. 7, and the low temperature was 20 degrees, reached Dec. 23. The average temperature for December was 47.6 degrees, matching the 30 year average.
The year saw four days of temperatures at or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The highest temperature for the year was 101, and the lowest temperature was 15.
