Southwestern Adventist University was recently listed in another best colleges list.
The personal finance website WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis of 2020’s best colleges and universities, with SWAU ranking No. 255 overall.
To determine the top performing schools, WalletHub officials compared more than 1,000 higher education institutions in the United States across 33 key measurements. The data set was grouped into seven categories, such as student selectivity, cost and financing and career outcomes.
Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the best school performance and the most favorable conditions for undergraduate students during and after attendance.
SWAU was ranked No. 251 in student selectivity; No. 393 in cost and financing; No. 529 in faculty resources; No. 121 in campus safety; No. 546 in campus experience; No. 557 in education outcomes; and No. 483 in career outcomes. In the southern region, SWAU ranked No. 53 overall.
During SWAU’s annual gala in September, U.S. News & World Report ranked SWAU as No. 11 for the 2020 Regional Colleges West Rankings.
SWAU President Ken Shaw said he was pleased to see the university ranked in the top 25 percent in the nation and the top 17 percent in the southern region.
“Southwestern Adventist University prides itself in intentionally providing quality education in a caring and supportive way to its students,” Shaw said.
