Crime scene
The victim of Tuesday's shooting in Keene has been identified as 21-year-old Carlos Flores of Irving.
"[Keene Police] Chief [Brad] Hunt has spoken to the family, and we continue to hold them in our thoughts as we work to bring them answers," according to a press release from the city.
There is no update on the other two shooting victims, who were transported to area hospitals by helicopter.
There is no longer an active manhunt underway in the area surrounding Alaska Street, where the shooting occurred.
Police believe the heavyset male seen fleeing on foot was picked up by a vehicle a short time after the shooting occurred.
The suspect vehicle, a dark gray Chevrolet Sonic, was located by Cleburne police last night and has been impounded as evidence.
Illegal narcotics were found at the scene, and police are investigating whether that was the reason for the meeting between the shooter and his victims.
With the assistance of the Texas Rangers, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and others, KPD is continuing their investigation into the case, which is classified as a homicide.
"This scene was large, complex, and entailed dozens of moving parts," the release reads. "It is an example of the complete cooperation and partnership of all law enforcement agencies in Johnson County, and we once again thank all who continue to assist us with this case."
Any citizens with information are asked to call KPD at 817-641-7831.
