Two Keene city council members have retained their seats for an additional term following Tuesday’s election. The council will also welcome a new member for a vacated seat.
In Ward 1, incumbent Rob Foster won with 231 votes over former mayor John Roger Ackermann, who received 102 votes.
For Place II, David Bass won with 145 votes over Nick Chesney, who received 47 votes, and Johnny R. Shaw, who received 139 votes. Bass will fill the seat vacated by Cheryl Schram, who decided not to seek re-election.
In Ward III, incumbent Robert Cooper won with 185 votes over Ray Johnson, who received 141 votes.
The terms of Mayor Gary Heinrich, Mayor pro tem Gwen Beeson, councilman James Belz and councilwoman Lisa Parrish expire next year.
