A 2-year-old who fell into a pool in Keene on Sunday is in stable condition, according to reports.
About 1:30 p.m. that day, rescue workers with Keene Fire Rescue and the Keene Police Department responded to a home in the 300 block of North Eastern Street where a child had fallen into a pool.
Before rescue workers arrived, the child's father began CPR and was able to regain his heart beat and breathing. When rescue workers arrived they intubated the child and began bagged ventilation.
The child, who has not been identified, was then transported by air to Cook Children’s Medical Center.
The city of Keene reports the child is in stable condition and the incident remains under investigation.
