The Cleburne Chamber of Commerce will present its 20th annual Business Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cleburne Conference Center. Lone Star Autoplex is the presenting sponsor of the Expo again this year.
The purpose of the event is to showcase what Cleburne has to offer and remind the community to “Shop-Eat-Spend-Enjoy Local!” Cleburne Chamber of Commerce President Cathy Marchel said.
The Business Expo offers a unique opportunity to meet with dozens of local businesses all in one day and one place.
More than 80 businesses and community groups will have booths set up both inside and outside the conference center.
Admission is free to the public and fun for the entire family with numerous interactive activities, unique demonstrations and door prizes.
“We appreciate all the businesses that are participating this year. There is no other event that promotes business and the community like this in Cleburne; so please invite your friends and family and come join the fun on Saturday,” Marchel said.
A few highlights of the event include the Keep it Local Jackpot sponsored by P&P Plumbing; silent auction; Health and Wellness Fair sponsored by Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne; Kids Zone sponsored Cendera Funding; cooking demonstrations; karate demonstrations;free hearing screenings; and more.
The Keep it Local Jackpot features gift cards and certificates from various chamber members. During the Expo, attendees will play $10 to pick a card from the envelope wall. Every prize is guaranteed to be valued at $10 or more.
In the morning, event attendees will have the opportunity to see students from the following Cleburne ISD campuses — Coleman Elementary School, Smith Middle School, Wheat Middle School and Cleburne High School perform on the stage in the Cleburne Conference Center theater.
