The Burleson Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying two women who allegedly robbed another woman in the parking lot of a Burleson shopping center on Wednesday.

According to reports, the victim was parked in front of Ross at about 9:45 a.m. in the Gateway Station Plaza.

As she was getting out of her vehicle, the victim was approached by a black female wearing all black and a white female wearing a light shirt and darker jacket.

The black female shocked the victim with a taser or stun gun device and took the victims purse. The two suspects then fled in a white SUV that was parked nearby.

BPD detectives have been working to identify better surveillance images and have increased patrol in this area and other key shopping areas.

Officers encourage shoppers to be aware of your surroundings as you are holiday shopping. 

• Enter and exit your vehicles quickly and make sure not to linger in your car. 

• If you feel uncomfortable or you see anything suspicious call 911.

In a separate incident the same day, at 10:24 p.m. Burleson dispatch received at 911 call that two suspects had stolen groceries — meat and beer — from H-E-B Grocery store, 165 John Jones Drive. 

As they exited the store they assaulted two employees. 

Subjects in this case have been identified.
