Cleburne police arrested several in recent days on drug charges in otherwise unrelated cases.
Police responded at 1:25 p.m. Saturday to the 600 block of Phillips Street on reports of two men attempting to pass counterfeit bills.
Police caught up with the suspects a short time later. They arrested Maurice Keith Freeman, 27, of Abilene, on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs, resisting arrest, evading arrest and tampering with evidence.
Police arrested Joseph Charles Rotruck, 37, of Joshua, on a charge of driving while license invalid. The report contains no information on whether police confiscated counterfeit money.
Police conducted a traffic stop at 10:25 p.m. Sunday based on a regional warrant attachment at the intersection of Boone and Cleveland streets. A search of the vehicle uncovered two Ziploc bags containing 1.34 grams of methamphetamine, according to reports.
Police arrested the driver, Jessica Nicole Reyes, 34, of Cleburne, for possession of a controlled substance and two warrants.
Police responded to a disturbance call at 7:47 a.m. the same day in the 1600 block of County Road 904. They arrested one of the men present, Terry Morris, 51, of Burleson, for possession of cocaine.
Police initiated a traffic stop at 11:19 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South Brazos Avenue and East Chambers Street based on an expired buyer’s tag.
Police arrested the driver for six outstanding Burleson warrants. Reports do not list the driver’s name.
Police found a Ziploc bag containing a small amount of methamphetamine discarded on the ground outside the passenger window, according to reports. The passenger, Jennifer Lynn Washburn, 49, of Cleburne, admitted ownership of the bag. Police arrested her for possession of a controlled substance.
Police responded to a disturbance call at 8:52 p.m. July 26 in the 3200 block of Dove Creek Road. Witnesses said the suspect was stumbling, tumbled into a ditch and later began pulling door handles on trucks, according to reports.
Police arrested Cody Lee Davis, 38, of Johnson County, for public intoxication.
Police responded at 6:23 a.m. Sunday ot the 2200 block of North Main Street on reports of a vehicle stopped at a traffic light with people passed out inside.
Police arrested Brion Lopez, 20, of Irving; Blake Evan Boyd, 19, of Cleburne; and Craig Allen Ratcliff, 18, of Alvarado for public intoxication.
The fourth passenger, a juvenile, was cited and released to his mother.
Police responded at 3:01 a.m. Monday to the 100 block of Park Street on reports of a firearm discharge. Police arrested Carlos Morales, 21, of Cleburne, on charges of unlawfully carrying a weapon, evading arrest and a warrant.
Police responded to a burglary call at 3:23 p.m. July 22 in the 400 block of North Hyde Park Boulevard. Someone stole rings from the house.
Police responded to a vehicle burglary call at 3:14 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Nolan River Road. Someone stole credit cards from the victim’s vehicle.
Police responded to a theft call at 1:33 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Boyd Street. The victim told police that someone stole jewelry sometime in May.
