A Granbury man died in a two-vehicle crash in Cleburne early this morning.
About 8:15 a.m. Cleburne police and fire departments responded to 4000 block of W. Farm-to-Market Road 4, where a fire had ignited in one of the vehicles.
Upon arrival, officers observed one of the vehicles involved, a 2009 Chevrolet van, fully engulfed in flames.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the van was traveling eastbound on FM 4 while a 2013 GMC 3500 was traveling westbound on FM 4.
According to reports, the recent rain had caused the roadway to be wet and the van lost control and was struck by the GMC.
The driver of the van, a 69-year-old man from Granbury, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released, pending notification of family.
The driver of the GMC, a 46-year-old man from Montana, was not injured.
