Cleburne police responded to an accident in the 1500 block of South Main Street on Tuesday in which a man was pinned under a pedacycle.

The accident occurred at about 6:39 a.m. The driver of a Dodge Ram was exiting a private drive entering the northbound lanes of South Main Street

At the same time, the man on the pedacycle was traveling on the shoulder of South Main Street when he crossed the path of the truck and was struck and pinned under the pedacycle.

The pedacycle driver, a 40-year-old Cleburne man, suffered nonincapacitating injuries but did not require transportation to the hospital.

Police cited a driver involved in an accident on Tuesday for failure to control speed.

The man was traveling westbound on County Road 1121 in a Mercury Cougar on a dusty road surface when he left the roadway and hit a tree Neither of the occupants in the car suffered injury.

Spilled coffee led to a collision on Wednesday in the 2300 block of Texas 171.

The driver of a Ford Ranger was stopped behind a Ford F-350 while both vehicles waited on other traffic.

The driver of the Ranger told police he spilled coffee, began forward travel, and collided with the F-350.

Neither driver suffered injury, but police cited the driver of the Ranger for following too closely.

Theft calls

Police responded to a business in the 1000 block of Granbury Street on an attempted theft call on Tuesday.

Someone entered a vehicle parked in the lot, cut the steering wheel lock off, and damaged the ignition in an unsuccessful attempt to steal the car.

Police answered a call at the same address earlier that day concerning the theft of a 1972 Chevrolet pickup by unknown persons.

Also on Tuesday, police responded to an attempted theft call in the 3000 block of Celeste Road. A man reported that someone tried to steal his motorcycle, causing damage to the bike.

A man reported at the police station on Tuesday that someone stole two pistols from his home.

Police responded to a theft from a business in the 100 block of Thunder Bay Road on Wednesday. Someone stole about 300 feet of copper wire worth about $800.

Police responded to a food theft in the 400 block of South Robinson on Thursday. Two people related to the complainant alledgedly stole $200 worth of groceries from the house.
