Jerry Burnett, a Joshua resident, is still hospitalized at John Peter Smith in Fort Worth after being shot early Tuesday morning in southeast Fort Worth while on his delivery route for Mrs. Baird’s Bread.
His family has asked that his condition not be released, a JPS spokesperson said Thursday.
Burnett was injured, and another man killed, during the incident at a Valero service station at the intersection of 4125 Mansfield Highway and Miller Avenue. Burnett’s Mrs. Baird’s truck was found in front of the station.
Burnett’s wife, Sue, is employed by Lone Star Auto Collision in Cleburne.
