The city of Joshua now has a new, but not so new, mayor.
Joe Hollarn returns to the position after winning today's special election. Hollarn received 249 votes against Robert Fleming, who received 235 votes.
Hollarn previously served as mayor from 2010 to June. He lost his seat in the June election to Kenny Robinson. Robinson resigned in August after two months in office.
This will be Hollarn’s fourth term.
"I want to reconcile with everyone in the community and get us back together again," Hollarn said. "To start, I’d like to conduct a town hall meeting at least every other month to talk to citizens to see what their concerns are.
"I think Robert ran a great campaign. I just want to see us all reconcile and continue moving forward."
