The Cleburne Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host its 21st annual Business expo.
The free event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Cleburne Conference Center, 1501 W. Henderson St.
More than 80 businesses and community organizations are already signed up to participate. Many are offering specials and gifts for attendees. Most will have registration for door prizes.
Chamber Executive Vice President Tara Janszen said the Business Expo is a chance for local businesses to showcase what they do to other businesses and to the community.
“The Cleburne chamber is proud to host Cleburne’s premier community event,” she said. “The Business Expo is a great opportunity to connect with local businesses and see first-hand the many products and services available in our area. Our mission at the chamber is to ‘promote business and the community,’ and that is ultimately the purpose of this unique event.”
The chamber encourages vendors to sell their products out of their booths so this can be a day of shopping all in one place.
Inside the lobby of the conference center, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne will host a health and wellness fair to make Cleburne a healthier community.
New this year is the Young Entrepreneur Fair, where students in first through 12th grade are invited to showcase their own startup business and sell their products at the expo.
“We are so excited about the Young Entrepreneur Fair being part of Business Expo this year,” Janszen said. “We feel this will provide a fun learning experience for our local youth and look forward to seeing what businesses the students create and showcase at the event.”
Registration for the youth fair must be submitted no later than Sept. 18 and costs $10. Booths that require electricity will cost an additional $5. There is limited availability for booths.
Students who participate in the youth fair are eligible to win prizes and awards. For more information, visit cleburnechamber.com.
The expo will expand outside in the west parking lot of the conference center with a showcase of cars and more.
A silent auction will also be held for items such as restaurant gift cards, gift baskets, sunglasses, event tickets and more.
The Keep it Local Jackpot features gift cards and certificates from various chamber members. During the Expo, attendees will play $10 to pick a card from the envelope wall. Every prize is guaranteed to be valued at $10 or more.
Cleburne Animal Shelter will have dogs and cats available for adoption.
Janszen said there are a few spaces available, starting at $200 for chamber members.
