A Cleburne ambulance transporting a patient to a Fort Worth hospital overturned about 3:20 p.m. Thursday on the Chisholm Trail Parkway near the Overton Ridge exit.

Cleburne Fire Chief Scott Lail at 4 p.m. Thursday said he did not yet know the cause of the accident but added that it appears that a cement truck and two other vehicles were involved. Lail said that Cleburne Assistant Fire Chief Keith Scarbrough responded to the scene.

Medstar ambulances transported seven people to area hospital, company officials said. All are said to have suffered minor injuries. Lail said that two CFD medics on board the ambulance suffered “non-life threatening” injuries as did the patient being transported. Lail said all were sent to area hospitals for evaluation.

Lail had no additional information on the crash as of 4 p.m.
