Thursday’s Cleburne ISD Freshman FISH Camp got off to a spirited start with performances by the Jacket cheer squads and the Showstoppers Dance Team. Back to school activities will be taking place at all CISD campuses in preparation for the Aug. 14 start of the 2019-20 school year.

Cleburne ISD will host several back-to-school activities over the next couple of weeks.

Smith Middle School seventh- and eighth-graders can pick up their schedule from 8:30-11:30 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. Thursday at 810 Colonial Drive. Smith’s sixth-grade Jacket Camp is from 5-7 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria, which will feature orientation, schedule pick up and teacher activities.

Wheat Middle School Jacket Camp is from 5-6 p.m. for sixth-graders, 6-6:45 p.m. for seventh-graders and 6:45-7:30 p.m. for eighth-graders Thursday. The school’s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for returning seventh- and eighth-grade schedule pick up.

Schedules will only be issued if online registration is completed and immunization is current with state requirements. Tours of the school and access to lockers will only be available during Jacket Camp sessions. Sixth-graders will receive their schedules at Jacket Camp.

Meet the Teacher Night is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cleburne High School and from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 12 for elementary students. The first day of school is Aug. 14.
