Burleson officer injured in crash

A Burleson police officer suffered injuries sustained in a crash involving his patrol vehicle and another vehicle, according to reports.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Burleson Boulevard and Hidden Creek Parkway.

The officer was in his vehicle at the time of the accident blocking the roadway for an active investigation. The driver of the other vehicle drove around the police barricade and hit the officer's vehicle.

The officer and the other driver were transported to area hospitals where they were treated for minor injuries. The name of the officer and the other driver has not been released.
