Cleburne police arrested two residents on Friday morning following an investigation into a string of recent burglaries.
Police executed a search and arrest warrant at an apartment in the 2200 block of North Main Street after they determined that the suspect in the burglaries was at that location.
Through investigation, detectives also identified Bradley Minchey, 31, who used a credit card stolen from a building in the 2900 block of North Main Street recently.
Police arrested Minchey on three charges of credit card abuse.
Detectives also recovered items purchased with the stolen credit card.
Minchey, while being interviewed, confessed to several motor vehicle burglaries that occurred in the area of Odell and Granbury streets overnight between Feb. 12-13, police said. Police said Minchey also confessed to using other stolen credit cards.
Investigation into the matter continues with additional charges possible.
Police also arrested Sarah Rainer, 24, for hindering apprehension.
Cleburne man killed in Oklahoma wreck
A Cleburne man died Monday following a traffic accident in McClain County, Oklahoma, according to KFOR.com.
Jonathan Dick, 55, was traveling on Interstate 35 South about half a mile east of Goldsby when the collision occurred, according to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
Dick was driving a tractor trailer southbound when he came upon traffic backed up because of construction.
At about 2:36 p.m. Dick, for reasons unknown, swerved and struck the back end of another tractor trailer in the inside lane, which was at a complete stop.
Dick’s truck went off the road right following the impact. Dick was pronounced dead at the scene. A medical examiner said Dick died from head injuries.
The driver of the other tractor trailer suffered no injuries, according to reports.
