Alvarado's football game against Stephenville tonight will look a little different. Homecoming festivities have been postponed and the band has been quarantined after three members tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week.
"In an abundance of caution and after consulting local health officials, the decision has been made to quarantine all Alvarado High School band members until Saturday, Oct. 24," officials announced. "Over the last week we have seen three positive cases in the band. This decision was made with the safety and health of all students in mind and wanting to keep the cases and any potential exposure isolated. If you have any questions you may contact the district RN, Nicole Robertson, at (817) 783-6815 ext. 3207."
"We are postponing homecoming festivities to another home game to allow more students to participate," a post on the AISD Facebook page reads. "More information to come as it becomes available."
The freshman and junior varsity games scheduled for Thursday night were canceled.
