The 19th annual Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Cleburne Golf Links, 2501 Country Club Road.
The tournament is sponsored for the 10th consecutive year by BATES etc. Travel.
Chamber Executive Vice President Tara Janszen said this is a fun, recreational opportunity for businesses to network and have a good time with other chamber and community members.
“We are excited about this years golf tournament,” Janszen said. “It is always such a fun time for chamber members and community members to get together for a day out at Cleburne Golf Links.”
Back by popular demand is the “Poker Run,” sponsored by First National Bank.
There will be a raffle drawing held at the golf tournament, although participants do not have to be present to win.
One package being raffled this year is called “Backyard BBQ Bash,”and includes a grill and outdoor string lights, custom cornhole boards, an ice chest stereo, a Yardzee set and catered barbecue meal for 30 people by Bare Barbecue.
The second package being raffled is called “Meat & Freezer,” and includes a $500 gift certificate to Woods & Cuds Natural Meats and a Kenmore chest freezer.
Tickets are available at the chamber during business hours for $20 each or three tickets for $50. They will also be sold at the tournament.
Registrations for the tournament are still being accepted for teams and individual players.
“This benefits the mission of the chamber and helps support what we do for the business community,” Janszen said. “We are so grateful for all the participants, sponsors and volunteers.”
