A Friday accident at Sabre Industries in Alvarado left one dead and another injured. A GoFundMe account has been established for the family of the deceased victim, Devon Michael Kyle, 20, of Cleburne.
Alvarado firefighters, police officers and Johnson County EMS responded to the scene and transported Kyle and another person to Fort Worth hospitals via helicopter.
Kyle was pronounced dead at 10:12 p.m. that same night, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website. Kyle’s cause of death is listed as “blunt force injuries due to falling heavy object.”
DFW Scanner reported that a 3-ton pole rolled onto Kyle and the other person. Details on the identity and condition of the other person involved have not been released.
Relatives on Facebook reported that a fork lift was also involved in the accident.
Hailey Kirk established a GoFundMe account for Kyle’s wife and son, Katelyn Storey and Drake Kyle.
“Devon was in an accident and tragically passed away,” Kirk wrote on Kyle’s GoFundMe page. “He leaves behind his wife and his 2- month-old son whom he provided for. His family and friends as a whole are very devastated about the news. Please donate to help his wife with the expenses she will have during this difficult time!
“Devon was the best daddy and loved Drake and Katelyn so very much! He always lived life to the fullest and never took anything for granted. He was so loved by so-many people and will be missed dearly.”
As of midday Monday, 184 people had donated a total of $13,010 of the fund’s $20,000 goal.
