The Cleburne Public Library will hold their 10th annual Fall Festival and book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9.

The festival is sponsored by The Friends of the Library and the Library Board. The day’s events include the annual book sale, chili cook-off, desserts, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, games, entertainment and themed silent auction baskets.

New this year is the chili cook-off between local Cleburne restaurants such as Jimmie’s, Heroes Cafe and Loaf ’N Dog, just to name a few.

Judging for the chili cook-off begins at 10:30 a.m. Individuals may also enter or donate chili, but must contact the library for guidelines.

This is the library’s largest fundraiser of the year, an event for the entire family that is fun and for a great cause. All proceeds directly benefit the library in supporting programs such as summer reading program, author talks and other events.

Preview sale day is Friday for Friends of the Library members. The library accepts donations of books, DVDs and audio CDs all year.

For information, visit cleburne.net/library or call 817-645-0934.
