Cleburne officials announced this morning that there are two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city.
Both subjects and their families are in self-isolation at home. That is all the information we have available.
"We knew it was only a matter of time before confirmed cases were in the city and have taken a measured approach to combat the spread locally," a post on the city Facebook page reads. "In order to reduce the risk of being infected or infecting others, it takes all of us doing our part by staying at home and practicing physical/social distancing when we do need to get out."
To further the city's efforts against the spread of COVID-19, Mayor Scott Cain plans to issue a new order later today that aligns with the executive order of Gov. Greg Abbott.
More information to come.
