AUSTIN — About 90% of Texas is experiencing a shortage of primary care health providers. A bill by state Sen. Cesar Blanco, D-El Paso, looks to change that.
A new statewide poll shows an overwhelming majority of Texas voters support modernizing state regulations on Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to make it easier for patients to see healthcare providers closer to home. The poll was commissioned by Texans for Healthcare Access and conducted in February by Baselice & Associates Inc. and GS Strategy Group.
