Lauren Virginia McWilliams of Cleburne and Jason Charles Davis of Wichita Falls were united in marriage by David denHartog, minister of Cleburne Bible Church, on June 18, 2011, at six o’clock in the evening at the Texas Christian University’s Robert Carr Chapel in Fort Worth. Jerry Royal of Wichita Falls also officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barry D. McWilliams of Cleburne. She is the granddaughter of Alta Lett McWilliams, the late Virginia and Dennis McWilliams and the late Helen and Joe B. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the alter by her father, the bride chose an elegant gown by the designer Maggie Sottero. The one-shoulder neckline fitted gown with crystal button closure was featured in a Soft Shimmering Satin. This style features embellished lace upswept across the shoulder, trailing down the hips, and framing the back dropped waist. Inverted pleats throughout the train finishes this sleek mermaid silhouette. She carried an exquisite garden style bouquet of peonies, roses, hydrangea and orchids.

Matron of Honor was Kelsey Schuetze. Other bridesmaids were college friends, Aubrey Harris of Cleburne, Joanna Davenport, Lindsey Honeycutt and Jackie Shaw. The Best Man was the brother of the groom, Justin Davis. Groomsmen were David McWilliams, brother of the bride, Chase Randolph, Keith Grisham and Tyler Devaughan.

Scott Bennett, Jordan Hannah, Andrew Oppenheim and Daniel Oppenheim were ushers for the occasion. Scripture was read by the bride’s sister-in-law, Amanda McWilliams. Elizabeth Lackey and Caitlyn Haught were flower girls, and Ring Bearer and Junior Ring Bearer were Christopher Haught and Dillan McWilliams. The honorary house party included Sara Casalovova, Alicia Dutton, Amanda McWilliams, Summer McWilliams, Lisa Mertz and Hailey Wray.

The bride is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a degree in music education and was member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She will teach in the fall at Joshua Independent School District. The groom is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State and a graduate of UT Southwestern Medical School with a degree in physical therapy. He is employed with SporTherapy in Fort Worth.

After the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception with dinner and dancing in the ballroom of the historic Fort Worth Women’s Club. They made their departure for the evening in a horse drawn carriage. Following their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, they will make their home in Fort Worth.
