The Burleson Elks competed in the White division of the 51st annual Whataburger Basketball Tournament on Monday and Tuesday.
In the opening game Monday night, the Elks fell to Southlake Carroll, 59-56.
Rico Leggett led all Burleson scorers with 19 points and Cameron Anderson had 13.
Ryan Marsh netted eight, Jon Rutkowski finished with six and the duo of Ethan Ford and Joel Rodgers each put in five points for the Elks.
On Tuesday, Burleson fell in the final seconds to Legacy, 56-54.
At the Castleberry Holiday Classic on Monday, the Alvarado Indians defeated North Side, 71-43.
Trent Ingram led the way with 31 points for the Indians and Jerome Brown contributed 11 points in the winning effort.
In Tuesday’s semifinal game against the host Lions, Alvarado fell 42-39.
Ingram again led the Indian scoring with 11 and Broam Hart put in eight, while Nelson Traylor netted seven points.
