The Cleburne Yellow Jackets freshman gold team tied Granbury’s purple team 6-6 on Thursday night at Yellow Jacket Stadium.
Chaz Armistead and Tyson Rochelle had sacks for the Jackets, and Tanner McGoughey blocked a punt.
Alex Hayton, Chance Ervin and Edgar Charo recovered fumbles for Cleburne and Andy Anderson caused a fumble.
The Pirates scored in the second quarter and Charo answered for the Jackets in the fourth with a 20-yard run. Robert De La Rosa had a key block to spring Charo on the run.
Dammerick Anderson and David Sonka joined Charo in controlling the ball for the Gold, while Andy Anderson and Hayden Wright had key carries for the freshmen.
The Gold team hosts Whitney at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
