Many of the Cleburne Baseball and Softball Association all-star and prime teams have either received a bye or earned the right to move on to several tournaments.
Several Cleburne teams have advanced to regional and sectional tournaments that began Wednesday night.
The Shetland (5-6-year-old) Gold and Black all-star teams have advanced to Region 1 and 2 tournaments.
The regional tournaments started Wednesday night at the Cleburne Sports Complex.
The Gold team earned its spot in the tournament with a runner-up finish in the district tournament.
The Gold team will play in the Region 2 tournament, while the Black team will play in the Region 1 tournament.
The Pinto (7-8-year-old) Black team opens play in the Region 2 tournament at 6:30 p.m. tonight on Field 8 at Bartlett Park in Burleson.
The Mustang (9-10-year-old) all-star team advanced to the sectional tournament that began Wednesday night in Burleson. The Mustang team earned its spot in this tournament by winning the Crowley tournament.
The Cleburne Prime team will host the Zone tournament, beginning July 31. The winner of this tournament advances to the World Series.
The Bronco (11-12-year-old) all-star team opened play in the Section 3 tournament Wednesday night at the Cleburne Sports Complex.
Another Cleburne Prime team opened Section 1 tournament play Wednesday night at Bartlett Park in Burleson.
The PONY (13-14-year-old) all star team began play in the sectional tournament Wednesday in Haltom City.
The PONY team earned its spot as the District 3 tournament runners up.
Cleburne’s Prime team also is hosting a regional tournament that began Wednesday night at the Cleburne Sports Complex.
