After taking Thursday off because of the Fourth of July holiday, Cleburne’s 7-on-7 football team returns to action Thursday night at Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth.
Cleburne ran its record to 5-1 in 7-on-7 play with a pair of victories on June 26.
The Yellow Jackets will face Pantego at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
After a 30-minute break between games, Cleburne faces Paschal Purple at 7:30 p.m.
Cleburne closes regular season play July 17 at Nolan Catholic High School.
The Jackets will play back-to-back games to end the season, facing Paschal White at 8 p.m. and Nolan Catholic White at 8:30 p.m.
At the conclusion of the season, the teams will be seeded according to overall record for the championship tournament, which is scheduled for July 18-19 at Nolan Catholic High School.
Cleburne opened the season June 12 with a pair of wins. The Jackets defeated Nolan Catholic’s White team 19-6 and blanked Calvary 28-0.
The next week, the Jackets lost to Nolan Catholic’s Blue team 29-21 before downing Oakridge 38-0.
On June 26, Cleburne earned a 38-7 win over Polytechnic and a 40-17 victory against Trimble Tech.

Walraven no stranger to Grandview
Casey Walraven is no stranger to Grandview football.
For the past seven seasons, he has served as the offensive coordinator for the Zebras under the tutelage of Aubrey Sims, helping guide stars such as Daniel Spencer and Reid Golson to collegiate careers.
