The Grandview Softball Summer League has reached the halfway point, with action resuming Monday with a quartet of games at Grandview High School.
The first game of the day features the top two teams in the league to date, as the 3-1 Lady Zebras face undefeated Whitney at 4:30 p.m., the second contest of the season featuring the two schools.
In the first meeting on June 9, the Lady Wildcats claimed a close 5-4 decision from the Lady Zebras.
Cleburne tries for its first victory in league play at 6 p.m. against the Lady Panthers of Maypearl.
Maypearl owns a 10-1 victory over the Lady Jackets on June 9, the only win of the season for the Lady Panthers.
Cleburne stays on the field for a 7:30 p.m. showdown against the Lady Zebras, the third time in three weeks the two Johnson County teams have squared off.
Grandview won the first game 11-6 on June 9, followed the next week by an 18-0 shut out of the Lady Jackets.
The night concludes with Whitney facing Maypearl for the third time of the summer at 9 p.m.
Whitney won both of the previous encounters, 8-6 on June 9 and 9-6 on June 16.
