Cisco hands Godley Wildcats 48-6 loss

From staff reports

No. 2-ranked Cisco handed Godley a 48-6 loss Friday night to clinch the District 10-2A championship and an undefeated season heading into the playoffs.

Godley (5-5, 3-2) clinched a playoff berth last week with a 24-14 win over Paradise.

The Loboes held a 21-0 lead at the half and stretched it to 28-0 in the third before running back Landry Martinez scored on a 36-yard run for the Wildcats’ lone score of the night.

Godley was limited to 90 rushing yards on 20 attempts and quarterback Riley Good finished 11-of-33 passing for 118 yards. Good also was the Wildcats’ leading rusher, finishing with nine carries for 43 yards.

Martinez was right behind him with 42 yards on seven attempts.

He also caught a team-high five passes for 31 yards. Rowdy Allen caught four balls for 41 yards on the night.
