Godley, Cleburne hosting camps

In the coming weeks several Johnson County high school coaches will be conducting youth camps for athletes in their respective school districts.
Cleburne boys hoops camp
The Cleburne boys basketball coaches are hosting a basketball camp from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp for second through fifth grades will be at Wheat Middle School, while the camp for sixth and seventh graders is at Smith Middle School. The cost is $60 before May 23 and $65 afterward.
The camp for incoming eighth and ninth graders is slated for 9 a.m. to noon at the Cleburne High School gymnasium.
The cost is $30 before May 23 and $35 afterward.

Godley hoops camp
The Godley boys basketball coaches are hosting a summer basketball camp from 1-4 p.m. June 9-12 at the Godley High School gymnasiums.
A junior camp, for students entering second through fifth grades, and a senior camp, for students entering sixth through ninth grades, is available.
Campers will register at 12:30 p.m. June 9 in the foyer of the high school gyms. Camp scholarships are available in some cases.
The camp will include drills concentrating on ball handling, offensive fundamentals, defensive fundamentals, team concepts and practice time.
Daily awards also will be handed out.
The cost is $35 and includes a T-shirt.

Cleburne girls hoops camp
The Cleburne Lady Jackets basketball coaches are conducting a basketball camp from July 21-24 at the Cleburne High School gym.
Session I, for students entering first through fourth grades, is scheduled for 8-9 a.m. The cost is $25 before May 31 and $35 afterward.
Session II, for students entering fifth through seventh grades, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $55 before May 31 and $65 afterward.
Session III, for students entering eighth and ninth grades, is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. The cost is $65 before May 31 and $75 afterward.

The Cleburne Lady Jackets volleyball coaches are conducting a volleyball camp from July 28-31 at Smith Middle School.

Session II, for students entering fifth through seventh grades, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $55 before May 31 and $65 afterward.

Cleburne golf camp
The Cleburne golf camp is open to boys and girls at the Cleburne Golf Ranch.
The camp is broken down into four sessions.
Session I, for incoming second and third graders, runs from 9-11:30 a.m. June 16-19.
Session II, for incoming sixth and seventh graders, runs from 1-3:30 p.m. June 16-19.
The cost is $60 if registered by June 9. Late registration is $65 per golfer.
Session III, for incoming fourth and fifth graders, runs from 9-11:30 a.m. June 23-26.
Session IV, for incoming eighth and ninth graders, runs from 1-3:30 p.m. June 23-26.
Golfers need to bring golf clubs, which can be purchased at Golf Ranch, and golf shoes or tennis shoes.
