The First Financial Bank All Johnson-County first team has been announced. The team was chosen by the Times-Review sports department based on all-district selections and coaches’ nominations.
The team consisted of Cleburne’s Hillary King and Kendall Jones, who both were first-team selections on the District 7-4A team, Burleson’s Abby Seamster, Andrea Dewberry and Katie Epley, Alvarado’s McKaila Shelfer, Grandview’s Raven McGrath, Randi Self, Rikki Self and Kellie Richardson, Rio Vista’s Krissa Reese, Godley’s Courtney Traylor and Jaci Smith and Centennial’s Courtney Colomo and Sydney Cox.
All of the recipients were first-team selections on their respective all-district teams.
Of Johnson County’s nine volleyball teams, five qualified for the playoffs this season.
Alvarado just missed out, but Burleson, Cleburne, Centennial, Godley and Grandview all qualified for the postseason.
Of those five, two advanced to the regional quarterfinals or further (Burleson and Godley). Cleburne fell in the area round and Grandview and Centennial were ousted in the bidistrict round.
Burleson put together its deepest playoff run in school history after advancing to the regional quarterfinals. Godley qualified for the regional finals.

The first-team offense included Alvarado quarterback Kenny West and Burleson quarterback Barrett Cain. -
