10/30 Fall events

All Saints Day celebration

zx Noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Temple Church, 1440 W. Kilpatrick Court in Cleburne. Live Bible story re-enactments are held, and hot dogs, chips, drinks and candy are available. Free of charge.



Fall festivals

zx 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul CME, 507 Royal St. Barbecue is served. Games for children and crafts and baked goods are available. For information, call 817-645-3730.

zx 3-6 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 1721 W. Henderson St. Hot dogs, soft drinks, cookies and candy are available. A monster truck and bounce house are also available.

zx 3-7 p.m. at Blackberry Community Fellowship, 4025 W. Farm-to-Market Road 917 in Joshua. Food and games are available. For information, call Sid Hill at 817-240-4655.

zx 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Nolan River Road Baptist Church, 820 N. Nolan River Road in Cleburne. Games, bounce houses, an obstacle course and goodies are available. For information, call 817-645-5642.



Trunk or treat

zx 6-8 p.m. First Baptist Church of Cleburne, 414 N. Main St. Music, bounce houses, food and more are available. For information, call 817-645-6684.

    A sweet friend passed away last week after a three-year battle with cancer. In my mind, his death feels so premature. At 66 years old, it seems he had so much time left to do the Lord’s work. He was such a faithful servant of God, and I can’t imagine why it was his time to go when he impacted so many people for Christ.

    At 10 a.m. Wednesday, three young men walked out of TEAM School to start a prayer circle as part of national See You at the Pole event, which took place at several schools in Cleburne ISD.
    They were admittedly nervous, but nearly 40 people arrived to back them up.
