Church hosts Ivan Tait Revival



Ivan Tait will speak at a revival hosted by Eastern Heights Church, 1315 Grandview Highway in Cleburne, beginning Nov. 8.

Tait’s speaking style combines humor, strong biblical preaching and knowledge that ministers life and energy to young and old, according to a release from the church. On Nov. 8, Tait’s daughter will minister in music and preach.

Service times are 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8; 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 9; and 7 p.m. Nov. 10-12.

Nursery is provided for children up to age five.

Bill and Kim Nash coming to Lighthouse



Bill and Kim Nash will perform at Lighthouse Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Nash writes, sings, entertains and produces. He comes from a musical family who had early success as The Nash Family Trio, which recorded for Columbia Records.

Bill has appeared on NBC, CBS and ABC television networks and recorded for several major record labels including Mercury, Capitol and Liberty Records.

He’s also written songs with his wife and songwriting partner, Kim, for artists such as Garth Brooks, Highway 101 and Reba McEntire. Nash has come full circle singing with his wife, Kim, and his youngest son, Jimmy, the new Nash Family Trio.

One of his latest songs is “In God We Still Trust,” also recorded by Diamond Rio and sung by them on the Grand Ol Opry and national TV.

Calvary Baptist to hold fall festival



The Calvary Baptist Church will hold its annual fall festival from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today in the Family Life Center.

The evening will feature game booths, a giant cake walk, candy, refreshments and more. Admission and events are free.

Th event is a Christian-oriented Halloween alternative.

On Sunday the church will have its Fall Round Up services at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. The southern gospel singing group, Heaven's Harbor, will perform. Sunday School will be at 10 a.m.

Children services for kindergarten through fourth grade are conducted in the church annex and toddlers meet in our Family Life Center.

Nursery services are also provided and free transportation is available.

Daylight Saving time ends Saturday. Set clock back one hour.
