Hargrave to address meeting

By Lisa Magers/Special to the Times-Review

Law enforcement veteran Tom Hargrave will be the guest lay speaker at the Cleburne Christian Business Club meeting at 6:50 a.m. Monday in the Student Center of the Cleburne campus of Hill College.

“Tom Hargrave, who miraculously survived massive injuries from a motorcycle accident five years ago, will tell his story,” said Phyllis Fife, Christian Business Club president. “He will be sharing with us how his faith keeps him crusading for Christ.”

Hargrave has been a licensed peace officer in the state of Texas for more than 34 years. His service record includes 25 years with the Cleburne Police Department, from which he is now retired. He has been employed with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office since 2005.

He has worked in all facets of law enforcement, from patrol to criminal investigation to narcotics and administration.

Hargrave served three assignments with the STOP task force and is a graduate of the 189th session of the FBI National Academy.

In 1979 he was honored as Johnson County Officer of the Year.

Hargrave and his wife, Nancy, are active members of Bethel Temple Assembly of God.

Special music at Monday’s meeting will be presented by Bethel Temple choir members.
