Blake Sanders will bring a program of music and word when he speaks to the Cleburne Christian Business Club at 6:50 a.m. Monday in the Student Center on the Cleburne campus of Hill College. Fellowship before the program begins at 6:30 a.m.
The Sanderses are members of Cleburne Bible Church. Blake and his wife, Lisa, have two daughters — Katie, who attends the University of North Texas, and Carrie, who is a sophomore at Cleburne High School. Sanders manages Premier Ag and Lawn, which also serves as the local John Deere dealership.
“My dad is a super songwriter, and growing up he always played the guitar while I sang,” said Katie, who has been singing since the age of 2. Her musical talents have led to numerous recognitions, including the title of Cleburne High School Golden Girl in 2006. “He has inspired me musically and given me the tools and ideas to perform.”
The Sanderses moved to Cleburne in 1984 after Blake’s graduation from Texas A&M. His wife describes his talents as a musician and writer as being “God-given.”
“Blake enjoys using his God-given gift of music by singing in church and at weddings, as well as performing with Katie at the Grapevine Opry,” Sanders said. “He will use his personal testimony and his music to share what God is doing in his life.”
