Kretz to address next meeting

Blake Kretz, president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne, will be the guest lay speaker for the Cleburne Christian Business Club meeting at 6:50 a.m. Monday in the Student Center of the Cleburne campus of Hill College.

The meeting will open with Clint Church, a member of First United Methodist Church of Cleburne, who will provide the special music.

Kretz has been president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne since February 2007. He is the treasurer of CASA of Johnson County and is a member of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Board and Rotary International.

Blake, his wife, Lori, and children Nicole and Michael are members of First United Methodist Church of Cleburne.

The Kretzes came to Cleburne from Graham, where Blake spent a total of 12 years in administration as chief operating officer and later administrator and chief executive officer of Graham Regional Medical Center. He has a total of 24 years experience in health care.

He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1985.

He has a master’s degree in health care administration from Trinity University, which he received in 1992.

Kretz’s professional affiliations include membership on the Council on Policy Development with the Texas Hospital Association, American College of Healthcare Executives, and the executive committee and board of the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.

He served as president of the Texas Hospital Association Midwest Division from 2001-06 and as chairman of the THA Rural Council.
