In conjunction with its annual St. Peter’s Fish Fry set for June 26, the Men’s Club of Holy Comforter Church will offer a free fish dinner to anyone who gives blood to the Carter Blood Bank, which will be parked on the lot behind the church at 109 E. Wardville.
Blood drive hours are 4-7 p.m. Care Flite also will land on the parking lot for viewing as its schedule permits.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-8 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
The cost for anyone not making a donation to Carter is $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger. The women of the parish will sell homemade desserts.
The menu includes fried catfish, sauces, cole slaw, hushpuppies and ied tea. Homemade desserts will be sold by the women of the church. The public is invited to attend.
Joe LoPalo is club president, and the Rev. Stephen Jones is rector.
For information or to schedule a blood donation, call the church office from 1-5 p.m. weekdays at 817-558-4075 or Dale Williams at 817-247-8566.
