Mother’s Day and grand opening



Southwest Family Church will have a double celebration Sunday with Mother’s Day and a grand opening. The church has relocated and will now meet at 302 Lincoln Park Drive in Cleburne. Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. and worship is at 10:30 a.m.

The Mother’s Day celebration will be a special worship service, and all mothers will be honored. The Southwest Family Church Praise Band led by Cameron Williams will perform, and Steve Dill will present the sermon.

In addition to the Sunday service the student ministry is led by Jon Rodgers and meets on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for food, praise, worship and Bible study.

Calvary to hold Mother’s Day services



The theme for Mother’s Day services at Calvary Baptist Church, 700 Woodard Ave. in Cleburne, this year is Cherished Memories. Every mother in attendance at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services will receive a carnation. Special recognition will be given to the oldest mother, youngest mother, mother with the most relatives present, mother traveling the greatest distance and the mother who has been married longest.

Mothers and daughters are invited to Muffins and Moms at 10 a.m. in the family life center, with guest speaker Kate Hicks. Regular Sunday school classes will also be held at 10 a.m.

Pastor Charles Payne will bring a message in both services, and the Calvary Quarter will provide music. Evening services will not be held.
