Gene Locker

Services for Gene Locker, 64, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in the Westhill Church of Christ. Mr. David Tappe will officiate. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.



Gene Locker passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in Dallas, Texas, after a brief bout with acute leukemia. She was born June 9, 1943, in Hood County, Texas, to B.B. and Virgie Mildred Smith Lewis. She married Jimmy D. Locker on March 24, 1967, in Cleburne.



Mrs. Locker was an administrative assistant for JBI Electric in Fort Worth, and she worked as a legal assistant for many years in Cleburne. She was a church secretary and sang at many weddings and funerals. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.



Gene Locker is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Locker, of Cleburne; son, David Locker and wife, Teela, of Abilene, Clint Locker and wife, Am,y of Rio Vista and Garrison Locker; grandchildren, Ana and Reid; mother, Vergie Lewis of Cleburne; brothers, Monroe Lewis and wife, Marilyn, of Rendon, Roy Lewis and wife, Anette, of Rendon, Dwayne Lewis and wife, Marcia, of Frost and Little Joe Lewis of Cleburne; and sister, Bobby Wesson and husband, Norman, of Irving.

She was preceded in death by her father, B.B. Lewis; brother,Leo Lewis; and sister, Neva Lou Lewis.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.Friday at the funeral home.
