Funeral services for Ruth Smith “Nana” Foster, 84, of Cleburne, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Cleburne Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Tony Torres officiating.
There is no formal visitation scheduled.
Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in Rosehill Cemetery.
Ruth, or “Nana” as she was known to family and friends, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, in Keene, Texas. She was born in Terrell, Texas, on April 6, 1926, to Lula (Rider) and Charles Brooks Smith.
Ruth was a retired surgical nurse and a member of Cleburne SDA Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vada Kenneth.
Ruth Foster is survived by her sons, Jason Leigh of Cleburne and Charles D. Brown and wife, Donna, of Burleson; daughter, Jacque Schoen of Cleburne; sisters, Mildred Perkins Ramsey of Cleburne and Opal Hagood of Azle, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Schoen and wife, Sherry, of Denham Springs, La., Jason Brown and wife, Melissa, Jessica Alaniz and husband, Brandon, Abigail King and husband, Daniel, and Aaron Brown, all of Burleson; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jacob, Haden and Mia Schoen, all of Denham Springs, La., Audra, Elizabeth, Elliot, and Emily Brown, Hannah and Benjamin King and Addyson Alaniz, all of Burleson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to HOPE Clinic, 111 Meadowview Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033.
