Service for Vessie Rose Harper, 94, of Arlington, formerly of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Jerry Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harper passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in Arlington. She was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Rio Vista to John Wesley and Dessie Yoakley King Burge Rose. She married Edwin Elmer Harper Jr. on Oct. 12, 1940, in Cleburne.

Mrs. Harper was a homemaker and a member of Westhill Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Morelli of Cleburne and Rene Bridges and her husband, Johnny, of Arlington; one son, Barry Harper of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Clement Morelli and wife, Yvette, Greg Bridges and wife, Amy, and Stephanie Johnson and husband, Mark; great-grandchildren, Hunter Bridges, Austin Bridges and Cooper Johnson; sister-in-law, Joyce Harville of Cleburne; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin E. Harper Jr. on April 30, 1990; four sisters; and two brothers.
