Services for Jasper Weaver, 82, of Cleburne, Texas, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery.
Pastors Russ and Randy Weaver will officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Rosser Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Levi Weaver, Jordan Weaver, Caleb Weaver, Randy Weaver, Russ Weaver, Dong Milholland and a host of honorary pallbearers.
Jasper went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Cortez, Colo., to Newt Weaver and Eva Henderson Weaver. Jasper served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Velma Crick on Sept. 9, 1950 in Cortez, Colo. He was a pastor and a member at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church in Cleburne.
Jasper was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Shea Weaver; brother, Wayne Weaver; and sister, Lorene Graves.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Weaver of Cleburne; sons, Russ Weaver and wife, Anna, of Cleburne and Randy Weaver and wife, Darla, of Montgomery, Texas; grandchildren, Levi, Jordan and Caleb Weaver and Shiloh Doehring; great-grandchildren, Jhet, Lincoln and Kodi Weaver; and sisters, Marguerite Jiron and Vanita Warren, both of Cortez, Colo.
