Service for Uberta Doty Reed, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Roger Stewart will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Dugger, Chad Dugger, Casey Dugger, Jordan Reed, Adam Hutto, Clint Davis, Garrett Davis, Steve Swager and John Pantoja.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Singletary and Doug Dugger. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Reed passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Azle. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Cleburne to Rudy Smith Doty and Georgia Ann Walker Doty. She married Travis Reed on June 14, 1941, in Glen Rose.

Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and a most loving Christian mother and grandmother. She was known as “Ma-Maw Bertie,” and she lived her life as an example to others. She was a member of Westhill Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Ronald B. Reed and wife, Sandy, of Cleburne; daughters, Ann Dugger and husband, Doug, of Longview and Kathy Singletary and husband, Rick, of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Fogarty and husband, Fred, of Cleburne; brothers, Jake Doty of Fort Worth and Burl Doty of Bridgeport; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Reed on Oct. 6, 2006; brothers, Bill Doty, Arthur Doty and Buddy Doty; and sisters, Jewel Blankenship and Pearl Fuller.
